The "CW Interface" adds CW mode to the DB4020 transceiver kit. It is a complete circuit incorporates an automatic keyer with memories, side-tone monitor, TX / RX delay adjustment, independent signal power settings for 40 and 20m, switching for SSB / CW and the necessary control lines for the transceiver processor. A small board is included with the jack for the paddles key, the push button "CMD" and the “SSB/CW” switch.
The pack also includes an I.F. filter plug-in for CW. This filter has a narrow bandwidth about 500-600Hz which greatly improves the CW signals reception.

I have built a MK2-ILER 40m kit (+ CW option) 2 years ago for my /P operations during holidays.
It works fine, the feedback about audio from others ham is good, stability during QSO is quite good also (SSB or CW), it is not ultra stable but comfortable.
Good PCB quality and components well packed, nice brochure to built the kit with a lot of pictures.
U can buy it !
I use my transceiver from 2 years, it is robust and reliable.
Thanks and 73s to Javier EA3GCY from F4HZB.

I asked for the cw extension. It arrived two weeks ago, it is very easy to assemble following the instructions, the automatic keyer is extremely easy to configure with a single button and the orders given with the paddle key. I am already making CW contacts all over Europe with ease. Good job Xavier

I have built the DB4020, without any problem following the instructions in the manual. I have successfully made contacts on ssb. But now I'm waiting for the option to operate on CW. Thanks Xavier, good job!

Hello yls and om, and hello Javier EA3GCY,
This is the fourth EA3GCY Kit I have built and operate.
I built the 20M and 40M Iler, then bought the 20m DSB kit.
Now this week i build the DB4020 with case and cw option.
A wonderfull rig, all EA3GCY kits work well
I was surprised on how good the audio quality was! Nice Display and Software.
Receive good audio reports and the radio sounds fine on RX.
Javier has done a great job with this kit.
This is the real HAM radio feeling!!!! Homemade TX/RX !!! The best qso feeling an happyness
I strongly recommend the TKEY-1 Keyer, DL-A1 DummyLoad and the Ilertenna antenna circuit !!!
Thanks for the case option Javier ;-))

Made the DB4020 some time ago, followed the building manual Javier wrote and all came together without problems. Power out is as described.
I also added the CW option which gave me the radio I want for going to SOTA, GMA, POTA.
This is not a newby kit but it is not really difficult either. It is great operating a radio you build yourself.
